How to play protected WMV files on iPod?

You have many WMV files in your Windows Media Player .And now you bought a new iPod nano, then you would like to transfer those tracks to your iPod. Part 1: What is WMV file?
WMV stands for "Windows Media Video", which is developed by Microsoft. WMV files are usually ASF files with a WMV extension. It can store video content in a compressed format. WMV files can be played by players such as Windows Media Player, but it can not be played on iPod directly. So, if you want to play WMV files on iPod, you need to convert it to MP4 or MOV format first.

Part 2: How to convert protected WMV files?
To convert protected WMV files, you may need some software to help you. Today I will show you the conversion process using Wondershare Media Converter.

Here is the step by step guide for the program:
1.Download Wondershare Media Converter, and install it. Then, add WMV files to it. You can either click 'ADD' button to insert the music you want to convert，or easily drag & drop the files into 'Getting started' table.

Then you should be able to see a list of WMV files that you'd like to convert.

2.Choose the format you'd like to get. Click "setting -> Format Present->iPod", then you can choose output format which matches your player in the list.

You also can change the output file location, or the output files will be located as default.



3.Finally, click the start button, and the converting process is beginning. After converting, the files are in MP4 or MOV format. You can view your converted files by press the browse button, or you can choose to turn off computer after conversion.



Part 3: How to Sync converted videos to iPod？
After conversion, now we can import the converted files to iPod.First, you need to launch iTunes, click File option on menu, and add your converted files to iTunes library. Then，connect your iPod to computer via USB cable, iTunes will detect your iPod. After that, click iTunes "File -> Sync iPod", and the files will be transferred to your ipod from iTunes library. When updating completed, you will find the videos on you iPod. Now, we can enjoy our clean music on iPod.
